What is this about?
Why would one choose to create a personal website with Next.js and Vercel?
Because it's fun! You can also create a lot of cool components using the Next.js ecosystem. Also, Vercel made getting an app into production easy and secure. Therefore, I'm using my website for my first evaluations of their platform.
I will get this site scaffolded out a bit more and I'll come back and drill into a pros and cons list.
